About the Journal

PROSHIKHYAN is the flagship peer-reviewed, scholarly journal of the Bangladesh Society for Training and Development (BSTD). Published biannually in both print and online formats, the journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge, research, policy, and professional practice in relation to training and development in both public and private sector. The journal provides a platform for trainers, researchers, management professionals, academics and policy makers to share original research and innovative practices in training and development.

PROSHIKHYAN is published by the Bangladesh Society for Training and Development (BSTD), the apex professional organization for trainers in Bangladesh. Established in 1980, BSTD serves as a national platform for training and human resource development professionals. It is a non-profit, democratic body incorporated as a legal entity under the Societies Act XXI of 1860. The society operates under a unanimously adopted constitution, ensuring transparency and professional excellence in all its development activities. 

Membership and Governance 

BSTD boasts a diverse and robust membership base: 

● General Members: Comprising professional trainers from both public and private sectors. ● Associate Members: Open to individuals with a dedicated interest in training and human resource development. 

International Affiliations 

As a globally recognized professional body, BSTD maintains active memberships and collaborations with prestigious international organizations, including: 

● IFTDO: International Federation of Training and Development Organizations. ● AMDISA: Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia.
