Important Policies

Open Access Policy

The PROSHIKHYAN content (Digital version) is published as open access—available to all, worldwide, without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Copyright and Licensing

  • Copyright is retained by the author(s).
  • Authors consent to publish the article and identify BSTD as its original publisher.
  • The journal requires authors to publish their works under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This allows any third party to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and original authors/citations are identified.
  • Materials can be used and built upon only for non-commercial purposes.

Plagiarism Policy

PROSHIKHYAN has a zero-tolerance plagiarism policy that applies to all types of manuscripts. It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that a manuscript submitted for consideration for publication is his/her original work and does not include any plagiarised information or data.

All received manuscripts can be checked for plagiarism with plagiarism-checking software; a manuscript with a similarity score of more than 25% will not be sent for peer-review. Manuscripts with plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication and falsification of data or other irregularities can be rejected at any stage of the publication process. The authors are responsible for correctly citing and acknowledging the sources of all information and data included in the manuscript.

Note: Manuscripts with a similarity score exceeding 25% will automatically be returned without peer review.

AI Usage Policy (Generative AI)

  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
  • Authors must disclose the use of AI in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
  • Authors remain 100% responsible for the accuracy of the content.

Peer Review Policy

The PROSHIKHYAN journal implements a double-blind peer-review practice. All manuscripts are subjected to preliminary evaluation by the editorial team prior to peer review. Each manuscript undergoes review by qualified reviewers who assess the relevance, validity, originality, clarity, and significance of the presented research to the field.

The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Based on the received reviews, the Editorial Board takes a decision to accept the manuscript for publication or reject it with an option of resubmission after addressing all issues mentioned by the reviewers. Finally, the Editor takes the final decision on a manuscript’s acceptance for publication.

Repository Policy

PROSHIKHYAN facilitates the preservation and dissemination of knowledge by supporting the self-archiving of the journal's published content in institutional and disciplinary repositories, personal web pages, and other non-commercial platforms, provided there is an acknowledgement of the journal as the source of publication.

The journal supports responsible self-archiving practices in line with internationally recognized repository standards and the self-archiving principles reflected in SHERPA/RoMEO. When depositing or posting the author's version or the publisher's version of the work in any repository or on a personal website, one should ensure that the full bibliographic details and the DOI of the article are provided.

Digital Archiving Policy

PROSHIKHYAN takes its responsibility to preserve and provide the journal’s content seriously. The journal is hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring the secure storage of its content.

In addition, PROSHIKHYAN is digitally preserved, following global standards for content preservation. As the journal grows, it is expected that PROSHIKHYAN will make use of other digital preservation systems to host its collections.

Each article has been assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to improve the findability and citation rate of published articles. All this contributes to the journal’s goal of being a permanent repository of scientific information accessible to all.

Retraction Policy

PROSHIKHYAN reserves the right to retract a published article, after appropriate investigation, on grounds of research misconduct, ethical violations, plagiarism or duplicate publication, major errors, etc.
